Jormungandr

Jormungandr, the Midgard Serpent, is the monstrous wyrm that encircles Midgard. He is the second of Loki and Angrboda’s children, brother to Hel and the wolf Fenrir.

When the gods discovered Loki’s venomous offspring, Odin hurled the serpent far into the deepest part of the ocean, where he grew so vast that he came to encircle the whole world, biting his own tail. He usually lies slumbering on the ocean bed, but the smallest flick of his tail can cause storms and gigantic flood waves.

The poster depicts the famous tale of Thor's fishing trip where the god of thunder uses an ox-head as bait to catch the gigantic serpent.
