Thor

Thor is the lord of thunder, the most powerful of the Aesir gods, and Asgard’s chief protector. When lightning flashes in the sky and thunder roars, it is Thor riding in his chariot drawn by two goats, on the hunt for giants and trolls.

His chief weapon is the hammer Mjölnir, which has crushed the skulls of countless giants; he also owns a belt of strength, Megingjord, which doubles his already considerable physical powers, and iron gauntlets that let him catch Mjölnir when it returns to his hand.

Thor is the son of Odin and the earth goddess Jord, and is married to the fair Sif. His greatest opponent is the Midgard Serpent, and at Ragnarök the two arch enemies are doomed to destroy each other.
